Sample Program Schedule
Students are split into one of six teams based on their grade level. Students in grades 1/2, 3/4, and 5 will be split into
different teams. Each team spends 6 weeks mastering one sport AND one visual/performing art. Over the course of the school
year, students will have the opportunity to participate in all activities listed below. Additional activities will be added
to match the needs, resources, and interests of the school and community that we serve.

3:30 - 3:50
|
Students are welcomed to the after-school program, nutritious snacks are provided, and student attendance is taken.
This is also a time for students to relax before beginning their homework.

3:50 - 4:30
|
Students are provided with a quiet place to do their homework. Assistance with homework is provided by pre-service teachers.
When students complete their homework they may move to another area in the cafeteria to read quietly, use flashcards, or
play board games with other students.

4:30 - 5:20
|
In their first rotation, students are working on mastery of one sport or visual/performing art.

Break
Students are taken back to the cafeteria as they prepare to switch to their other activity.

5:30 - 6:20
|
Students remain with the same team. Students on this rotation are working on mastery of the other sport or visual/performing
art depending on their previous rotation.
